This is me.

ruthie Eagles

Originally from South Jersey, I have made Minnesota my home now for many years, May 2025 marking 20 years. I'm a single mom and I have two children and a dog. I work at a surrogacy agency and have been a surrogate five times. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023, and while currently cancer free, I am doing hormone therapy for the next few years and dealing with fun things like lymphedema. I'm a huge Philly Sports fan. I love to laugh and I love to sing. Those are the highlights!

My goal is to share my own unique journey and the things that have ultimately made me who I am and continue to make me who I am. Of course I hope to inspire even just one person in any way (as I strive for in my daily life), but I hope more than anything that I can at least be a voice for some of these things to highlight certain topics not often talked about, or to provide some food for thought at times to help you in your own journey of life.

A big part of my blog will be for my weight loss journey that I need to step into high gear. In 2023, I delivered the 7th and final baby into the world. I then underwent cancer treatment in the months that followed. The weight gain was not kind. I will also include some posts about my continued treatment as a breast cancer survivor. I have many interests and some that may appear here as well, such as my sports teams or surrogacy or just life in Minnesota through my eyes. It could be I also share with you some things I bought and loved that helped my life as those closest to me know I not only love my Amazon shopping, but I'm a huge fan of Etsy and the small businesses on there. Subscribe to my blog or just keep coming back occasionally to check it out.

Here's to 2025 and making ourselves and the world around us better!
